Are you able to turn the steering wheel any? It may only turn a little, but that should be enough. Try turning the steering wheel to the left and holding it there tightly while turning your ignition key. If it doesn't work, try turning the steering wheel to the right and holding it there tightly while turning the ignition key. If that doesn't work, try wiggling the steering wheel by turning it back and forth while trying to turn the ignition key. If it still doesn't allow the key to turn, try activating the shift lock release and shifting the car into neutral. Do this by prying open the small square plastic cover next to the shift lever. With the cover removed, apply the brake with your foot and insert a small screwdriver or bic pen into the hole. Push down and move the shift lever to neutral while holding the shift release down. Remove the pen/screwdriver and replace cover. Now try turning the ignition switch. That should work, but if it doesn't let me know and we'll go from there. SOURCE: key wil now turn got

Try a little grafite or spray a little W-D into cylinder, also if you have a grinder with a wire brush attachment, wire brush the key. It's worth a try.

SOURCE: crank shaft position sensor located hyundai sonta 2004 v6

On a 2.7L it is located above and to the right of the starter. You will have remove the starter heat shield to gain access to it.

After I turn off my 2010 Hyundai Elantra and remove the key the car still thinks the key is in the ignition and door locks will not lock.

Sounds like a programing problem. Most car accessories are controlled by a pcm or bcm (powertrain control module) or Body control module).. You call it the car computer. Sometimes a spike in voltage or some other abnormality can cause a glitch. Take it to the dealership and have them run a diagnostic and reflash the module.

2009 sonta wont go into park

the shifter wont move, or moves to park but park does not work?
try to be clear.
are you on flat ground?
are you against a curb
did you wiggle the steering and turn the key and wiggle the shifter to park? at once.

there is thing called park lock out but works moving from P/N to gears active, R/D/L. usually going to N/P is no problem. unless cables are rusty.

Can't get key out of igntion on my 2004 endeavor

Assuming there's no button to press when taking the key out, try rocking the steering wheel to left and right at the same time as trying to remove the key. Sometimes the ignition lock engages at the same time as the steering lock.

2010 Hyundai Accent ignition key won't turn

You need to turn the wheel slightly either left or right until the key turns. That is very common. I know you said the wheels is locked but it will turn slightly one way or the other.
