Question about Cars & Trucks
My 2002 Focus zts has a flashing o/d off light. It is intermittent and the car feels like it is either revving up or skipping even at low speeds 35-45 mph. What's causing this? The car has known computer issues. Sometimes wont start and have to unhook the battery cable and let it reset.
Run the fault codes and see if there is a TCM related problem in the box. Use a code reader to reset the CPU program as removing the battery terminal all the time only corrupts an already corrupted program

I have a 2000 ford focus. It was stalling when Idling, So we replaced the fuel filter that didn't fix the problem. Scanned and found that it was idling at 18%, upped the idle and it quite stalling but it ate gas like a pig. Replaced the TPS, Reset idle down to normal. Now it guts out at 20KM/hr still idles. The RPM are off the roof in Park and Neutral. THe TB was cleaned, I am at a loss.
What is wrong with it, What more can I do?

an interminnent flash of the ABS light generally indicates a fault in the ABS system. It will flashing a code to you. Causes for this kind of problem are usually a sensor or air bag resistance out of range - too much, or not enough resistance. You might be able to find out on line what the code means. To read the code, they are generally groups of flashes. watch it carefully, there should be a big pause at some stage, that is the end of it's cycle. Now watch and count the flashes, for example- . . . - . . . . - . . - would be the code 342. If you have no luck finding the codes online i recommend calling your local ford dealership
