Question about Chevrolet TrailBlazer
I have a 2006 chevy trailblazer with approx. 183 000 ams on it. It has been well maintained with regular oil changed and i just recently had the transmission fluid changed; I am the 2nd owner. It has been parked for about 4 months now because i noticed that when I drove it after lending it to my brother for a month it seemed to be revving high (well over 2000 - 2500) when I went over 100 kms/hr, which was not normal; cause it would barely reach 2000 rpms when I went 120 - 130 ams/hr before. There are no light indicators on the dash and I get monthly on-star diagnostics test on it, which indicate that everything is fine!!! Getting frustrated and hate to put it in the garage and pay money that I do not have for them to tell me there is nothing wrong it, when I know something is wrong. Also I have to drive it and break it even more; also it starts normal.......Please HELP
Trans is probly not goin into overdrive-cud be a worn shift solenoid or other-gut alotta miles on it-parts wear out--a haynes manual can show some ajustments-but may need to get a trans specialist to test drive--a car scan doesnt show everything--can sttil b driven but wil just burn more gas

Usually sign of a gear issue. It revs high when the gear is too low for the task. Should idle around 1000 rpm.
Onstar wont see this. Check the gear box. The garage wont charge you to look. Try an authorised dealer

IT IS NOT GOING INTO NEUTRAL. IT HAS LOST THE DIRECT DRIVE CLUTCH PACK INTERNALLY. SOUNDS LIKE IT IS HIGH MILEAGE. IF SO AND YOU CHANGE THE FLUID IT CLEANS UP ALL THE VARNISH IN THE TRANNY AND THE END RESULT IS TRANNY MALFUNCTIONS DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF CARE IT HAS HAD IN THE PAST.
