Question about Cars & Trucks
I have a BMW 325ci 2001 Coupe. The Passenger door is locked. I cannot open it from inside because the locking handle is broken. I scanned the problem and got an error message says 39 Central locking relay: opening contact or NO contact interrupts Error frequency. The Remote key cannot open it either. it only can lock the doors but not to unlock it
Somehow grab hold of the broken bit with long nosed pliers or something and open it from the inside ,invent something to do the job as no key slot on the outside of the door

insert the key into the drivers side or passender side front door, twist the key and pull open on the handle at the same time and the door will open. It might take a few times to get it, but this does work, source BMW AG Munich.

There are several suggestions out there on how to retrieve BMW keys from the trunk. Many of the ways I tried failed, and it takes 2 to 3 days to get a new key made up. In the coupe there is the center piece in the back seat that folds down. Then on the back wall there is material that will fold down that is held up with Velcro. Behind that you will find a rubber insulation that is mostly cut and looks like a door, but not all the way. Carefully cut the rubber to remove the piece. Now you will find a metal wall, but there is a large piece that is tack welded on. I got turned around and kicked it with the bottom of my foot and got 3 sides loose. Then a softball bat knocked the final side loose. Pull that out and trash it, the final barrier is the insulation that is held in place with plastic clips that can just be pushed down. After that you can a pretty large hole to work through and get the keys. Just put everything back in place other than the metal plate and you will never know anything was done.

Actually they area vacume/preshure opparated system.... now if fitted with this crazey system bear with me!!!!!
Open the boot, pull back the lineing to reveal the off side rear lamp cluster, underneath the cluster you will see a black box with a plug and a plastic preshure pipe going to it (this is the vac- air+ preshure pump and electronic control unit.
Now what happens is this the seal on the back light cluster leek rain water in after a while, and guess where it goes? Yes thats right all over and inside the box where al the electronics are! Fantastic ! any way solution is easy just take the box out....take it in the house open it... tip the water out! dry it out in the airing cubard or hair dryer e.t.c. put the lid back on thats it (GOODTHING REALLY SEEN THE PRICE OF THEM?) oh! forgot to say it is in like some grey polystirine in the car to stop it banging about!sugest you re seal the lamp unit with some RTV silicone sealer (Better than the manufacture seals) OH YES THAT BOX ALSO IS THE ALARM CONTROL TOO!
There you go Neil your all sorted!
