Question about 2007 BMW 525xi Sedan
How can I tell the color on the battery is black yellow or green cant see any color
Shine a flash light into the "eye".
Better yet, test the battery with a voltmeter. Should read about 12.2 to 12.6 volts for good starting. If less then 12.2, have the battery charged and see if it comes up to 12.6. If it comes up to 12.6 and won't start, battery capacity my be diminished and may need to be replaced. Also, check tightness of cables at battery connectors. Loose is not good for starting an engine.
Also if it's a stock BMW battery, I get about 5 yrs of service from them.

The BMW 525I doesn't have a dip stick. The oil level is checked using the "i" menu. Select service status and from there you should choose "check engine oil level".

starter motor solenoid problem by the sounds of it, check the connections are clean and secure, give it a tap with a soft head mallet or hammer handle. If it doesn't spring back into life it will need replacing.

It uses a "cartridge filter" the cap to the filter is on the top side of the engine, normally towards the front. NOTE- The procedure is to remove the filter, drain the oil, replace drain plug and filter, refill with oil. Some models have a canister at the bottom towards the front. These are a little trickier as the material used for the canister are very brittle.
