SOURCE: plastic sleeve on shift linkage cable is broken

You cannot take the sleeve off. It comes with a new cable. Shift cable is enough for any parts man to know what you need. Generally this item is a dealer part.

SOURCE: Need to replace boot sleeve on manual trans shifter

The frame that holds the "leather" in place just pops right out (come at it from one side; it'll sort of pivot around the other side -- I can't recall which is which, but trial and error works). Alternately, if you remove the six screws holding the entire center console in place, it can slide forward and rotate such that it'll clear the e-brake. Alternately alternately, if you curl your fingers underneath the boot frame on the side facing the rear of the car, you can pop the darker gray smooth plastic part of the center console entirely off while leaving the whole center console screwed in.

Crankshaft seal keeps leaking how do I align da seal, any pics

There are thin sleeves to put on the crankshaft to enlarge the shaft to cover the worn out area on the crankshaft ,so the seal will keep the oil in , These are available at a good auto parts store I believe we called them speedy sleeves. Older fords had problems with axels leaking differential oil on to brake shoes. Very common problem with small block chev V8's to leak oil at front cover of the motor. Just slide the sleeve on, and install the seal

2004 Chevy blazer, 4.3L ; Fuel leak: Where the two aluminum fuel lines go into the intake, the little black plastic sleeves are missing. What are those sleeves called and where can I buy them? Please help.

There are no sleeves..On these there are 2 connectors. In the connectors there are O rings/seals. what hold the connectors to the fuel rail are clips. To date, I can replace the O rings(just match them up) The connectors and the clips, good luck... I had to replace the fuel lines, from the manufacturer to fix them. Some times from the auto store, but not much. Usually wrong parts.

Why the diesel pump nissan hardbody is not getting the power

DIESELS DO NOT START FOR ONLY 3 REASONS.. 1. not getting fuel. 2. Glow plugs not working.. 3 major engine damage
1. air in system.. like you ran out of fuel, Fuel filter clogged, lift pump not working, no fuel in tank, Bad fuel. .. 2. glow plugs..check the wire at the glow plug to see if it has power. If it does not check the relay and fuse. glow plugs usually do not all go bad at one time. 3. major engine damage.. you would normally notice this by the noise the engine makes or it would not turn over..

Cambelt timing marks 4jx1

sounds like the injector sleeve O rings have failed this was common.
if you put a clear plastic piece of hose on supply line for diesel fuel filter to head fitting at front and fuel is not black but normal diesel colour thats good.
then put clear hose on return line fitting at rear of cylinder head and fuel is now darker, engine oil is by passing injector sleeve top O rings and entering into fuel gallery in head.
rocker cover, injector rail, injectors need removing and injector sleeves need replacing as well as O rings and seats.
a special tool is needed to remove the injector sleeves out of the head. you will also need to drain the cooling system before removing the injector sleeves, so coolant is also needed.
dealers have special tool for injector sleeves

I have a 2002 nissan xterra and heater hose broke off at firewall, the insert thats inside the hose going into the firewall broke off inside the firewall. Is it possible to repair without geting behind the...

Remove the firewall rubber grommet to the broken pipe in the firewall. Clean the remaining end of the broken pipe real good, apply a drop of oil on it, then push the heater hose back in and tighten the hose clamp back on. You will need a 12 point box end wrench and it will be slow due to limited access. It should work.

Where are spark plugs located for the vauxhall signum

You will have to remove the plastic head cover, you will have to remove the oil fill cap and screws/nuts holding the cover to the engine. Once you have that removed you will see wires going to coil packs that will have to be removed in order to get to the plugs. Disconnect the + and - battery terminals before starting. Also, when removing the coil packs be gentle as not to damage the sleeve or spring inside the sleeve which connects the coil to the plug.

2004 Nissan Murano, back door can't open

I had a similar problem with a sienna and sometimes the cable ( inside the door) between the handle and the latch gets stuck in the sleeve. Kind of like the brake cable on a bike.
take the panel off by removing all the screws you can see on the panel and pull the panel off. There will be plastic pins holding it. Some of them may pop off and some will break off.
Drip oil down the sleeve so the cable slides freely. I used bike chain oil. Do not use WD40. This is **** and will not work for very long. Try the handles a few times before you put the panel back.
