Does it have a chip in the key
The ignition key contains a transmitter that is read by the ignition key ring antenna, the antenna sends registration code signals to the immobilizer ECU. if the registration code in the key does not match or one is not sent to the imobilizer than the pcm will not allow vehicle operation.
all keys must be programmed with a scanner
