The crankshaft sensor is behind the crankshaft front pulley, down low on the passenger side. It has 3 wires going into it. The camshaft position sensor in mounted in the distributor. It has a 3 wire electrical connector mounted to it. It's on the rear of the distributor.

It sounds like there is a part if the engine that is not getting proper lubrication. I would oerform an oil change and then look at the condition of the oil to see what kind of shape that it is in. That will give you a better idea as to what needs to be done. If this is not the problem then I would check all of your pulleys and the serpentine belt that wraps around the pulleys. It is possible that there is just something that is under the hood that is flapping around.

I have a 2002 Chevy Malibu that turns over but

Have you check that the cam shaft/s are turning. If you have spark then the immobiliser is ok. If you have a working fuel pump then the immobiliser is ok. The crankshaft sensor will work because the crankshaft is turning. It needs the cam shaft sensor/s to be reading as well to get it started

2001 crankshaft sensor changed now car want start

If the store pulled the codes and it had a code for the crank sensor, the real problem could be a bad cam sensor or a problem with the crankshaft. The crank sensor "sees" a mark or magnet on the crank and sends a signal to the computer. The computer takes that signal and compares it to the cam sensor to start the engine then runs off of one or the other. It sounds like the computer is not seeing the two signals match up.

Driving and was turning into my apartment wen it stalled now it turns over but doesnt start

That could be any number of things. Is it out of gas? Does it have spark at the spark plugs? You need to check a few things to find out if it is a fuel problem or ignition problem....Depending on the year, make, and model, it is possible that you could also have something like a broken timing belt. Much more information is needed to help you with this problem.

How to locate camshaft and crankshaft sensor on a 2.7 motor of a hyndaui sonata 2005

Not a do-it-yourself job, unless you got some time and are pretty confident.

You'll have to dismount the engine from the motor mount on the passenger side. (17mm bolts and nuts)

You'll have to move the power steering lines out of your way.

Remove the crankshaft pulley. (21mm or 22mm Bolt, and some 10mm bolts)

Remove the timing covers (10mm bolts)

Place the engine on TDC for cylinder 1. There are timing marks on the crank you can use. (make sure the ones on the camshafts are on the timing marks as well

Remove the timing belt tensioner

Remove the timing belt

Remove the metal blade and crankshaft position sensor from next to the crankshaft (10mm bolts for the sensor, metal blade just slides over the crankshaft) Replace both of them.

Now, make sure you index the crank pulley correctly, make sure you get the cams and the crank on the timing marks before you put the belt back on. Make sure you rotate the engine by hand for 2 turns of the crank shaft and ensure that the crank and the cams are still on the timing marks.

Put it all back together.

That is a very quick overview of the highlights of the job.
