Question about 1994 Chevrolet Lumina APV
I own a 1994 Chevy Lumina APV van. Sometimes the wipers do work. Upon firing up the engine, if the wipers come on, they keep working when activated. At times, if I turn off the engine and re-start, the wipers will not work. Any reason why and if there an easy fix ?
Hello, This is usually one of two problems.
1. The wiper motor has gotten weak or a dead spot in the motor windings. this would cause it to not start depending on where the motor stopped last. The motor is usually a easy change.
2. The other things it could be is you wiper switch has a bad connection or just in need of replacement. This could be a harder job depending on how much of the column you need to take apart to get the lever switch out.
I would lean toward number 1 its usually the more common problem. I hope my answer at least gets you in the right direction. I hope you have a great weekend:>)
