Random failure to start

Hello, I have a 200 Saab 93. It all of a sudden started not starting. it turns over perfect but it just won't start. the engin rolls over but won't start. then if you come back and try it again 2 hours later it will start just like nothing ever happened. i replaced the battery and have had it in to a international specialization mechanic 4 times. he can;t find any thing. it could be a number of different things. some thing to do with the ignition or spark plugs, gas hose??if any one could help me with this problem i would love to know.

The eletric fuel pump in the tank may be operating intermitently.try turning the key without starting it you should hear a little hum(2 to 5 seconds)if not wait your 2 hrs and try again.or if you don't hear anything the 1'st time leave the key on then reach under there and tap the tank with a rubber mallet to see if the pump starts if so there's your problem.hope this help's.

I have the same problem, looks like it appear when i stress the car. also the door lock doesent work when i cant start, appears like everything is dead. solution is to wait minutes to hours until it starts. or try to hit middle console or slaming the door several times. then it starts.

Hello I am having a problem getting my 2002 Saab 9-5 to start. There is no check engine light on at this time. It all started literally when at random times it would fail to start after driving for awhile....

Almost for sure this is the CPS sensor that is on the front of the ENGINE under the heat shield to the right. It's a bit tricky to replace, but not bad if you have small fingers, etc....

remove the AC relay to shut the AC off all the time. Not sure why it wont start but you may havea security lockout. Fully charge the battery to proceed.

Check engine light Saab 05 93 Linear

Take the car to a local auto parts place and they should be able to scan the computer and give you the code that triggered your check engine light. Most places will run this scan for free. Even if your Saab appears to be running fine it is prudent to have this checked to avoid a sudden break down. I hope this helps. Good luck.

My 2005 Saab 93 Won't Start. Turns over clicks and Engine Light comes on. Battery seems fine.

The battey may seem fine , but it most likley is weak and needs to be charged , or replaced. The clicking you hear is the ign relay or solenoid not having the amperage to fully engage the starter to allow the starter to turn the flywheel and start the engine. Also really check you battery connections , make sure they are super clean and tight.

Saab ignition problem

it is definately the main relay. if you replace the relay then you will fix the problem. Over time the circuit board cracks and causes it to go bad.
