I would not do that, cause once you pull the battery cable it will reset a lot in the car, and some things may not work after... it should reset itself if everything is ok.... if not then bring it to a shop to ask them to reset the light... most can do that in a few min. and normally dont charge for it, but if they do it will not be that much....hope this helps

2000 buick Regal run hot and hasitate when running. no engene light.

It`s a 2000 buick regal ls. make sure when it gets hot eh fans are running. There is a coolant sensor just below the top radiator hose ON THE ENGINE. This sensor tells the fans when to go on when the engine gets hot and also serves as a low coolant sensor. unplug the sensor and replace it. use a open end or box wrench. if your quick you can replace it and only loose a few ounces of coolant. Hope this helps and God Bless :O)

Low coolant sensor on a 1998 buick

The coolant sensor should be located near where the upper radiator hose is attached to the engine and has a wire connector on it with 2 wires. It's the only sensor near there. Then there's the sensor that'll be attached to your reservoir tank somewhere along the firewall

Where is the coolant sensor on a 1998 Bucik Regal LS?

It is located on the front side of the engine on the transmission side. It screws in right behind the front exhaust manifold where the manifold bolts to the crossover pipe.
