The best thing to do is go to Sears or an auto parts store and have them cross reference it. They will tell you the best one to use (for fit as well as cranking amps).

My boyfriend hooked up the battery backwards to my lincoln continental and fried some wires. I am not sure what wires he fried but was wanting to know how much it would cost me to get a new fuse box?

Your problem could be alot worse that just the fusebox... Depending on what wires got fried depends on what circuits were open (on ) at the time, and how long the battery was installed backwards... Unlikely that this is gonna be a easy fix, get a mechanic to look at it, and see what exactly got fried.

Change Brakes

If you want to avoid problems, buy from a Toyota dealer's parts department. I tend to stick with the original parts on brakes since I have had a generic disk brake pad fail; only the light traffic at that point saved my **** since the car shot right through a stop sign.

loosen the battery cable.... start the car with a boost.... after it is running... unhook the battery.... if it dies... replace the alternator... if it keeps running... replace the battery.... make sure this is done outside and everyone working on the car is wearing safety glasses
