Re: cannot unlock the steering wheel on oldsmobile...
This is what I would do: call a tow truck, and they will send your car to get a new ignition for the car and fix the problem. My dad accidently left his 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx in drive, turned the car off, he put the car in park, and the key wouldn't turn to the start/acc/on position.

Try your spare key to see if it helps any. Make sure the steering wheel is not hard locked while turning the ignition. Try gently moving the steering wheel while trying to turn the ignition. Sometimes a spray of wd-40 in the cylinder will help
When you say "ignition", do you mean the ignition switch or the ignition lock cylinder?
They are actually different parts. If you can't turn the lock cylinder, you may still be able to move the switch with a little work.
You could remove the trim panels under the steering column, remove the screws that hold the ignition switch to the column, disconnect the ignition switch from the ignition lock rod, slide the switch by hand to the "start" position, and then back to "run". It may not be easy, because the positions are not marked on the switch itself. And you won't be able to steer the car. The steering wheel will still be locked.
OK, obvious first: turn it the other way. Don't laugh, I've done this.
Otherwise, barrel is jammed. Get a new barrel, dismantle the steering column and replace the existing one. You'll now need two keys: one to unlock the car and one for the ignition. You won't be the first.
Try to wiggle the steering wheel as you turn the key, the wheel may have some force on the lock so turn wheel to the right and try to turn key then turn left and try the key again. if this doesnt work then the ignition is worn and you will need to wiggle the key to get it to start also try to spary a little wd40 in the ignition key hole and work the key inside the ignition.
1.Close the vehicle doors. 2.Turn OFF the ignition. 3.Remove the key from the ignition. 4.Press and hold the driver side door lock switch in the UNLOCK position. 5.Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.) 6.Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.) 7.Insert
the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. (Do not turn the
ignition key in the lock cylinder.) Leave the ignition key in the
ignition lock cylinder. 8.Release the door lock switch. The vehicle will sound three beeps in order to verify the Program Mode has been activated. 9.Press
the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the keyless entry transmitter
and hold until the vehicle beeps twice to verify that the transmitter
has been successfully programmed (this take approximately 15 seconds). 10.Perform the previous step to program up to four transmitters (including your old ones). 11.Remove the ignition key in order to exit the Program Mode.
