Car usually starts quick (starter turns engine over very little and it usually fires right up) but this time started turned engine over 4 or 5 times then just quit and all indicators went dark almost like it was "unplugged from the battery". Now nothing electrical works (no interior light, radio light, etc.).

Might be something in your gas tank that gets stuck, I've heard of people putting whiffle balls in peoples gas tanks and that happens.

check and recheck all conections on battery and starter and grounds on battery and the ground on engine bblock and body ground or grounds,if not sure make another one ,check connections at battery ,it does sound like a bad ground to body and eng just make ur owne and see what happens
take it in for scrap at the junkyard...lol
SOURCE: engine starts for 3 seconds and then shuts down,
do you mean the engine runs for 3 second and it shut down completely, and you get no dash lights, radios, interior lights and so on... while the key is still in the ignitions? If that is the case have your ignition switch check, the same part where you stick the key in. The unit tend to go bad over period of time and looses its contact. there is really no way of testing it unless you take the unit apart and jump the connectors. Do this first, put the key in the ignition and wiggle turning the key back and forth at the same time by starting the car and see if you get any contact playing with ignition switch. when you stick the key in the ignition, does any instruments lights lit up when the key is turn to on position? if not than it will be the ignition switch. If all of the intrument light come on while the key is turn to on position, try this also, get a jump from a friend car to make sure the weak battery and alternator is good and working properly.

Sounds like the starter is the culprit, when the brushes in it are almost gone they will work intermittently and if the brushes aren't touching then you won't even get a click because of the lack of ground for the pull in portion of the starter solenoid winds. The next time it won't start, give the starter a tap or two to confirm this.It should start if i'm right. The starter is under the passengers side just to the rear of the front tire, bolted to the bell housing.

Go to the manual or check on internet where the fuses are positioned in your car then test them! I am quite sure that if you do not have any power for some of the devices in your car the problem are the fuses!
