Problem for Mini 2007 Cooper S Convertible

Lighter won't work on mini cooper S

My lighter sparked a lot a few weeks ago because a dime fell into the hole. Since then (after taking the dime out) it will not work anymore.
I checked the fuse box and all of the fuses are fine. What now?

check to see what circuit you have missing frst ie the earth to the sigarette light or the power feed

The outside of the holder will be earth and if all the fuses are ok it still will not work if the earth has gone
