Hello -
I'll try to cover as much as possible here leading up to the problem. About 2 months ago my timing belt broke while driving. I changed it and the car started up immediately. I drove it around the block a few different times and parked it in the garage. After that, I would just start it and let it run for 5-10 minutes. About 2 weeks after changing the timing belt, I went in the garage and started the car and after about 5 minutes, it died out. Since then the car will not turn over. I've checked the plugs and wires, the fuel pump is working and I also tried spraying starting fluid into the injector and plugs. I am also certain it has nothing to do with the main relay.
I'm thinking its the timing - which I am clueless to fix (the manual directions or useless) or the distributor - which is only 2 years old (and an expensive item to check).
Any assistance would be helpful. THank You.
If the timing belt is not tight from the front side ( from front of the car) cam to crank it will jump time because the belt is pulled by the crank. you tighten the front then tighten the tensioner pulley.
Timing belt might have not been tight enough a nd it jump a couple of teeth causing the valve to hit the piston. see if you can rotate the engine either way clockwise or counter clockwise if you can re time the engine.

Thanks
It was the timing belt. When I changed it last time, I dropped a socket (which I found in the cover) and it must have through the timing off. Thanks for the reply.
