I did that once look in to the latch you will see a circular opening where the secure pin would rest if it was shut and latched stick a a phillips screw driver slightly into that opening and start to pull towards the inside of the car as if you are putting presure on the latch now either reach up and hit the latch button yourself while keeping presure on it or have someone else hit the button the latch will release and your problem is solved
SOURCE: hatch problem
The glass did close and neither the glass or rear hatch would open. It did turn out to be the lower hatch switch which I had replaced.
Thanks for the follow up.
SOURCE: my prius rear door latch will not function
if you use a phillips screwdriver and put it in the gap where the latch on the hatch holds onto the anchor plate, while pulling down on the screw driver, press or pull the door release. this should release the latch.
Hope this is of some help.

Unfortunately, you will have to remove the panel of the door, Use flathead screwdriver to pry open. It is very likely the spring fell off.

You need to tighten the lock mech on the boot lid. this will close the boot just enough more to turn the light on. It's no biggy, you might need a star driver depending on bolt head. move it into the boot lid approx 4mm to start. then 1mm until 10mm. if no joy then it may be the sensor.
All the best
