Dash lights not working. Fuse is ok. Radio and all other accessories are still working. All other lights including the shift indicator in the console are still working. Are these lights one unit that would put the entire panel out if bad or does it sound like I have a short somewhere?

well...replace the stereo and the bulbs behind the dash. in order to do that you must pull the dash out to get behind the gauges be..carefull not to damage the ribbon of metal behind the gauges as to thats the power
SOURCE: All dash panel instruments fail
Speed control sensor, located on the rear axle.If it goes out,it takes instrument panel with it.

Check and see if you have trailer wiring on your truck. If so you do it may have a wire that is rubbed though the isulation and grounding on the body and shorting the circuit blowing the fuse. High resistance in a circuit is what blows fuses.

did u look at the fuses under the hood there might be one there other than that sounds like you wiring went bad or the part of your switch is bad replace the switch
SOURCE: 1997 dodge avenger turn signal probs and location
replace the turn signal switch it self, mine did the same thing with the left turn signal, put in fuse and it will continue to flash... went to junk yard pulled one out of a 97 avenger just like mine, swapped them out and now it works fine. looked to be like some corrosion... to repace: 3 screws under columb, 2 screws on side of signal switch (black plastic side). unplug and replace
