Need more information. Is the engine hot or cold when it shuts off ? Does it do it when idling or when driving ? How long do you drive before it acts up? High speed or low speed Please describe the symptoms with more information. Problem could be anything from water in the gas to bad fuel pump, bad spark plugs ,fuel filter, injectors or ignition coils.

Car start but when you shift into drive or reverse it deads

There are microswitches built into the shifter to prevent starting in reverse and drive. You may have to look for them carefully under the shifter panel. Its my guess that one of them is at fault. Or stuck If you have a multimeter you can check their operation.

It ran out of gas and iwent and put gasit from a gas can and it still wont start

Sometimes it takes a minute to re-pressurize the fuel system, try adding more fuel until you see at lease an eighth of a tank. Listen at the tank for the "whir" of your fuel pump cycling on while you are cranking it over. It common to burn out your fuel pump when you run out of gas.

A flashing CEL (Check Engine Light) is something serious to be concerned about. A flashing CEL indicates that your vehicle's engine is misfiring, which could severely damage your catalytic converters.
Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop .

How hot is the engine running? Check the ignition system. When cars develope alot of heat thay tend to shut off.

I think im having a fuel pressure problem

Change the fuel filter, If this does not work you need a fuel pressue gauge to make sure you have enough pressure. IF you don't change the fuel pump.
