My 325ix has an uneven idle on AM start ups

my 325ix has an uneven idle on AM start ups between 500 and 1800 on 2 occasions it went as high as 5000. this does even out once warm. it can be kicked down or shut down and restarted (as I recently found out). today the car taced at 5 while I was driving it. time to get this fixed!

Your idle air control valve is probably sticking. Look for a part around the center of engine about the size of a roll of half dollars. You can spary carb cleaner in it to clean it up some. Give that a try.
