We have tried to follow the Haynes manul and we are stuck on how to finish, belt removed, tire passenger side is removed, anything else would be great.
The easiest way is to drop the axel first.
First, remove the cotter pin and axel nut while it is still on the ground.
Lift the right side so the oil doesn\'t come out of the transmission.
Remove the wheel, the pinch bolt (Head is 18mm, nut is 15mm) Loosen the nut until it is flush with the end of the bolt, and hit it with a hammer to pop the bolt, then remove it.
Pop the ball joint, and gently pull the control arm away from the axel, being careful of ripping the break hose.
Grab the axel with 2 hands and pull it out of the transmission. You will now see if you got the right side high enough not to loose oil.
Disconnect the PS hoses, remove the bolts and drop out the PS pump. Put in the new pump, connect the hoses, and the serpentine belt.
Put the axel back into the transmission, rotate it slightly until the splines line up, and shove -- you will feel 2 clicks as it slides into place.
Tug on the axel to make sure it is seated properly -- use slightly less force than you did to take it out.
Re assemble the control arm, ball joint and pinch bolt, replace the wheel and let the car down. Tighten the axel nut, and replace the cotter pin. Have a beer.
I got the new pump from the wrecker, so the proper pully was already mounted.
Layman's terms?? No there is no way to do that for this repair. Do you have the pulley removed from the pump? It pulls off with a special tool. Also how do you know the pump is defective, did you test the pressures? It is more likely the steering rack and pinion has failed.
SOURCE: tire stuck/lug nuts removed
use 3lb sledge on inner edge of rim be careful not to damage rim rubber mallet won't provide enough shock to loosen rust. ps leave one lug nut on so tire won't fly off.

water is supposed to drip out of all air conditioners

If the tensioner can be moved by hand the lock down bolt is not doing its job. Try to tighten the bolt with the belt pulled tight and then release. If the belt loosens the bolt is not working as it should. Make sure theres a lock washer (split lock washer) between the bolt head and the post.
