The check engine light came on, and the car sounds extra loud, the noise is coming from the front bottom of the car, It just sounds like the exhaust might have come unattached, not sure though. It runs fine, any ideas?

I took it to auto-zone and it came up with the error code p1171, which I guess is the fuel and air metering system, just for clarification it is a 1996 Saab 900 se turbo. There is also a slight funny burning smell coming off of the car as well.

Oil light has nothing to do with oil pressure. Noise may be a connecting rod or main bearing failing. Unless the exhaust has somehow burned through the oil pressure sending wire you have a serious problem that needs attention now. Is oil full?

It could be an exhaust problem. if the pressure in the exhaust is not right then the sensors could have triggered a trouble code and turned your check engine light on. i would take it to autozone and have them hook the scan tool up to the car and see what the computer has to say

The exhaust noise could be leak from exhaust manifold, exhaust pipes, muffler. You need to find out what the engine code is for the check engine light. The leak in the exhaust could be creating a code for the O2 sensors in the exhaust system.
Most auto parts stores where I live will check the code on your car for free.

Wheel bearing? If you turn left and it gets louder. It is the right wheel bearing. And vice versa.

this will make the performance poor on your vehicle.

Rattling/clattering exhaust noise from front bottom

It could be all of the things mentioned in your post. A loose/bent/misplaced heat shield will make noise at different engine speeds as various parts vibrate and (((RESONATE))) in harmony with engine speed. Also, a shifted/loose catalyst brick in the converter can be the culprit. If you KNOW for a fact that it IS an internal fault of the converter, it will need to be replaced. Chunks can be broken off as it rattles about and **** sideways downstream in the exhaust. This not only blocks exhaust, but can lead to a dangerous burn-through condition if the piece of hot catalyst wedges in a bend in the pipe where yo do NOT have additional heat shielding.

03 expedition used to stall after driving for an hour, now muffler is loud and it does not stall anymore

Sounds like your muffler and/or catalitic converter are plugged. maybe even the tailpipe.backed into any dirtbanks? now that the muffler is leaking the engine can exhale. look it over, check it out closely I think you'll find your problem.

02 Durango: loud engine/exhaust sound. Also Recently noticed the cooling fan running more than normal; had someone check the antifreeze/coolant....it was empty....had them put in a 50/50mix of coolant and...

That noise is probably the air injection system which is part of the emmision system. When it is making that noise, open the hood and determine where it is coming from, note if it is a mechanical sound, etc. The air injection if equiped would sound almost like forced air scaping somewhat like an exhaust leak, but less intense.

LOUD RACE CAR NOISES FROM MY 99 VW BEETLE

This seems to be a classic case of "disentegrating exhaust system syndrome." There is either a hole(s) somewhere in your exhaust system or there is a leak somewhere. Probably the easiest way to tell where the noise is coming from is to start your car and just listen around in the engine bay, under the car, and at the muffler. Also do a visual inspection of the exhaust system to see if you can see any holes in the piping. I have also seen hairline cracks in the exhaust header itself that can cause the loud ticking noise that can be a little tricky to track down.
