If the transaxle fluid is black, the unit
will have to come out & be rebuilt

Trans fluid is pink

Black is a burnt up fluid & clutches

The trans is done, change the fluid it will slip
& not be useable

03 Suzuki Aerio Idles and runs rough and loud

Sounds like you first need to go to Auto Zone and have them scan the computer for the check engine light code and find out what is going on with that..it is probably a misfire code, they will print out the code and the cure, may need a good tune with wires.
As far as the wheel soot/?
You may have a leaking axle seal/worn brake pads/frozen,leaking brake line or disc caliper(check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder to confirm a brake fluid leak)

Transmission shifts between overdrive and third at

When the trans is cold it will shift almost normal as of now. If you keep driving it it will eventually slip when its cold. This is caused by worn out clutch plates
Your trans needs to be overhauled with a clutch rebuild kit

I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier. My car has over 100,000 miles on it but has never caused any problems. Yesterday, I was driving and my car suddenly began to make a loud growling noise when idle and shake. ...

It sounds like the transmission might be stuck in two gears at the same time, giving you the feeling that the brake is on. The next time that it does that try pulling the shifter down into "low" or "1". See if that makes a difference, it could also be the torque converter is not disengaging. Have you changed the trans fluid lately? You may want take it to a trany shop it might be a simple fix.

Sounds like a wheel bearing, and or a bad brake pad. Decide which wheel you think it is and pull that wheel to look at at the brake shoes or pads. feel for roughness when you turn the wheel by hand.

The car is getting any power when put into drive, it takes long to get power to move faster, i can also hear a loud noise when its in drive but when its in park the noise dissappears!

Could be the catalitic converter. Have someone push down on the gas petal while you feel the exhaust coming out of pipe. The farther the petal is pushed, the more exhaust you should feel coming out
I had to replace mine in my 2001 at 44000 miles. I got a high flow type converter.

Well, I would check the fluid. IF the fluid has metal shavings, dark in color , burnt odor.
The fluid should be light red in color.
Sometimes a fluid change service to the transmission can clear up a lot of problems and very cost effective vs. a complete transmision.
I would try and take it to local transmission shop.
