Sometimes the car will start and die then start then die and then will not start for several minutes then starts and runs fine for maybe several days. how do you fix the problem?

do you have a (FOB) to lock and unlock your car. Because when you press the unlock button it is suppose to disarm the anti-theft control, which will allow the car to start but not run for long.

Most Chrysler cars do have an anti-theft system that can cut out the engine.
I would call the service department, with your VIN handy, and see if yours was equipped with one, and what you need to reset it.
If that isn't the problem, your EGR valve might be bad, or the sensor for it. I've seen a lot of cars where if either the valve itself, or the sensor are malfunctioning, the car won't run properly.
I would also check your MAF and IAC, as those can cause the car to not run.
If you can, get an OBDII code scanner, and pull the codes from your car, they might give you a more specific place to look. (Most parts stores will let you take one home, you put a deposit down, and get it back when you bringthe scanner back to them)

first thing you got to do is determen weather its electrical or fuel problem, you can take a test light and hook to a ground and the light end to a spark plug and see if it lights while someone turns over engine, if it lights you got spark. if its got spark, on to fuel, take fuel pressure test, don't think because you can hear pump working does not mean it is, it can sound like it is but its not, at least putting out enought pressure, not the correct amount it will not run. pumps will go out just that way with no warning at all.

disconnect the battery. then connect the battery and hit your unlock button on your remote a couple of times. the car should start right up. god bless
SOURCE: sometimes it starts up and sometimes it dose not
If its a 2.5, then its likely the distributor.
