Srs lighth is on all the time on my acura Tl3.2 how to fix it?

Has the car ever been in an accident? If it has, there are repair shops that will replace the steering wheel cover and dash but not the air bags themselves because they are expensive. See if there are air bags first, then check out the seatbelt pretension devices to see if they have deployed as well.

check for bad fuse under the hood or dash

SRS is your air bag system its basically not operational at this time. Bring the vehicle to a repair shop they will scan the ECU for codes , do the necessary repairs and turn off the lite.

Well basically all Honda/Acura because the system sometimes "hiccups" and causing codes to trip the SRS light.

Note: If your airbag deployed or seats has been removed or anything that may have triggered the SRS, this DIY will not work for you. All you will get is two flashes or more and the light will remain on.


Tools Material Needed:
- Standard Paperclip (or wire)
- Maybe flash light (night job)

Time:
- 1 to 5 minutes

First make sure your key is out of the ignition.

Step 1:
You can use two options in this step to use to make two contact connect together:

Paper Clip, you can use the paperclip and bend it out to where both ends are next to each other so it can be put in to two pins.

Here's a quick check list for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles

Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)

Seat covers

Weight on passenger seat
(Example: grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)

I recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.

I DO NOT recommend disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s).

Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce the problem.

The SRS system involves explosive devices, for some reason they seem to have been set off in your case. Maybe I minor collision or a crash sensor malfunction caused it.

Only qualified professionals may work with these systems, diagnosing and replacing components. This is one of the things that are definitely off limits for DIY-ers.

to turn them off you have to fix what turned them on in the first place to do this you will have to have the computer scanned btw the srs is your airbag system

1.bend a paperclip into a u shape. 2.disconnect the yellow plug in your fuse box under the steering wheel and insert the paperclip into the plug that is now hanging there to complete the circuit.3.turn the ignition on and the srs light will stay on for 6 seconds, then turn off.disconnect the paperclip within 4 seconds after that and the light will come back on.4. reconnect the paperclip within 4 seconds and the srs light will turn off again.5.within another 4 seconds of it going off, disconnect the paperclip and the light will blink letting you know that you have completed all the steps right. you can also use some speaker wire
