98 Dodge 1500 problem codes indicate mulitpule misfiring

Has no power and rough idol. Have already replaced spark plugs, cap, rotor, spark plug wires. I was told it could be a sensor off of the fly wheel to the transmision. Is this true, or should I be looking at something else?

Code p1391

You could've gotten dirt or grease inside the cam sensor connection. They are real fussy.

I fixed my transmission and its still missfiring, what can it be

Tranmissions don't misfire - they are just a bunch of gears.
You're engine can be misfiring - replace the spark plugs, plug wires, and cap and rotor.

Need some more info on some diagnostic codes that came up on my truck & how to fix them. P0137 o2 sensor, P0300 random multi miss, P0303 cylinder 3, P0306 cylinder 6, P0307 cylinder 7

Replace your O2 Sensor and Spark Plug Wires. If you still have the Random Misfire, replace your Spark Plugs, then Replace your Distributor Cap and Rotor. If you still have the Random Misfire you may have a Timing Problem, or Ignition Coil problem.

My 1996 chevy 1500 has a missfire i have

Well, First i would have replaced all of the spark plugs and the wires, Then moved to the cap or rotor second, but in that case, did you check the spark plugs and wires, when was the last time they were changed? Maybe they were changed already and that's why you when straight to the distro? Is there a computer code for a misfire, or it feels like a misfire when it's running?

What does the code 43 mean on a 1996 jeep grand cherokee and how do u fix it?

Trouble code P0043 means: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1, Sensor 3)Hex code 43 is for a misfire.

DTC 43 indicates a cylinder misfire, but does not specify which cylinder is misfiring. To pinpoint which cylinder is misfiring, you need a scan tool and get the "P" code, as you can see in the chart below. So it is quite possible you're barking up the wrong tree.

If you go to an Autozone they will scan the codes for you, if the CEL is currently on, and tell you the DTCs they find. That will get you closer to the problem.
I'm fairly confident that if you do a complete tune-up, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, that the misfire codes will be taken care of. Be sure you read this, Dodge Ram 1500 Running Rough before replacing the spark plug wires, or if you have already replaced them.

Hope this help (remember comment and rated this)..

Check engine light

A multi misfire may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plug or wires, Faulty coil (pack), Faulty oxygen sensor(s), Faulty fuel injector(s), Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages, Faulty camshaft position sensor, Defective computer.

The engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wire, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open.

Good luck and hope this information helps, keep me posted, be glad to help you get the truck running 100% again. Not sure if your running a K&N air filter, and if you are there may be a flim of oil on the MAF sensor that is making you run lean. You may want to spray down the MAF sensor with a can of MAF cleaner.

1999 Dodge ram 1500 Cylinder 8 Misfire

Do not dress the spark plug wires to make them look pretty. The spark plug wires on must cross each other at right angles every place they cross. They cannot be run side by side, or the engine will crossfire.
