was the correct bulb used? this sounds like a single function bulb was used NOT the bulb that will light with the headlights and ALso produce turn singles
owners manual will show you how replace headlight bulb.but wear clean gloves when handling and installing new head light bulbs. because oils from your fingers or hand could cause new halogen bulb over heat blow out besure wear clean gloves.
Try not to touch the buld as you do the installation. There is a access cover in the back of the head lamp. This gives you access to the headlamp. Now when you get to the light buld and socket turn counterclockwise. Then the light bulb wil come out of its socket. From here disconnect the electrical connection. Now for the installation connect the electrical socket to the headlamp bulb.Install the buld in the socket,by rotating socket clockwise locking the retaining tabs to the housing, install cover test the light and you are done
I having a same problem as you. I have changed Head light (general head light 12V 37W) I plug out inverter connector and connect 12V 37W bulb directly It works fine.
reasons bulbs keep blowning.your head light bulbs is halogen bulbs.dont touch with bare hands.the oils on your hands will make them over heat and blow.so use clean gloves on your hands when replacing the head light bulbs.if all is good.check alternator out put.it could be overcharging causing too much current flow through electrical circuit blowing out bulbs.use a digital volt meter hook it battery with car running battery voltage should be 13.5 to 14.5 volts. if it is 15 to 16 volts too many volts.alternator is faulty.due to lock out features turn off radio before disconnecting battery cables so you wont lose radio playing code.
recheck your wiring to radio you might have hooked park lite wire from stock radio to new radio in wrong spot, most new radios dont use that wire, you mak blow radio check ASAP!!, good luck.
You might remove the tail light bulds and inspect the lead contacts on the bottom of the bulb. While the bulbs are out install a new fuse and if it doesn't blow this time install one bulb at a time to see which side is blowing the fuse. If it blows right away the prob could be in the headlight switch or in the wiring somewhere. If its been sitting 3 months its possible rats have chewed on the wiring.
It is real hard to replace and some time the wiring harness inside of headlamp if burned if vehicle is still under 36000 miles take it to dealer to have repaired
