Peugeot 1007 windscreen washer water jets

My peugeot 1007 windscreen washers have stoped working, i cant find any information about it in the manual.

The wipers are fine but the water jets dont even try to work, they are just dead.

Can anyone help with information or by running alongside my car throwing water on the windscreen when i push the button.

Kind Regards.

Hi

It is usually the fuse. This blows very easily.(eg Ifyou operaten the washers when the fluid is frozen or partially frozen)

Look in your handbook. And in the fuse box in the engine compartment

This happened to me too - several times. Fix by changing fuse number 10 and it works a treat!

Over a period of months the flow from the washers on our 2003 307 gradually reduced until there was nothing although the bottle was full and the pump could be heard. After removing the right front wheel and the inner mudguard liner the bottle can be removed. The pump unclips from the bottle. The pump has two outlet ports. Clipped into the ports is a small cylinder with spouts for the front and rear washer hoses. The pump runs forwards or backwards for either the front or rear wash. Inside the small cylinder is a rubber cylinder in a plastic tube which is a shuttle valve to isolate the two circuits. Over time the rubber cylinder had expanded in length and blocked both circuits. I shaved 1 m.m. from each end and now it works like new. You need to be a bit handy and be careful not to break or bruise any plastic surfaces. A Haynes manual is some very basic help.

Hi My windscreen washer doesn't work. I pull the stalk and nothing happens. The wiper action does work but the jet function doesnt. I have a 2003 aero. The washers were working and then stopped on my way...

Assuming the washer fluid is topped up, can you hear the washer motor buzzing? If you can then could be jets blocked or pipe come off! Is there water leaking under car?

Wipers are not working suddenly???

Check your fuse compartment under hood. Fuse 3 & 12 for windshield wipers and washers. More than likely you've overloaded the wiper motor causing a blown fuse.

Windscren washer not working on my peugot207cc

Check the fuse for windscreen washer.
If you can hear the washer motor running but no water comes out then check the washer motor under the side wing cover.
Pull the rubber pipe from motor and then let the washer run to check wheather water will be pumped or not.
If yes the problem is on the side of rubber-pipe to spray-jets on bonet (may be spray jets need some cleaning).
If not then then the problem is in washer pump. The dirt that reside during the time inside washer pump (the plastic pump attached to the washer motor) causing the problem.
Pull out the whole pump motor from tank and disassemble the pump to clean the free moveable conical metal rod and rubber washers (takes about 1.5 hours for cleaning). If you don't want to do it then convenient is to buy another washer (set of motor+pump).

Hi, I have a peugeot 206 2005 diesel and the windscreen washers aren't working. They don't even make a noise so i assume the fuse has blown with the recent cold weather? Does anybody know which fuse it is?...

The fuse box is inside the glove box (on passenger side dash board).
Open the glove box and you'll then see a small box on the side with a Plastic screw on it. Turn the screw to 90° to open the fuse box. Which fuse it could be for washer motor i really don't know as peugeot service manual has not lost any word about fuse plan.

Windscreen washers not operating They are not frozen problem is at jet end ran a needle through jets and all clear Would the heated jets be damaged with frost as the pumped water is at end of jets and not...

Hi

A common problem, down to wind chill. Even with engine hot and the water being warmed up in the screen wash bottle, the jets are wind chilled. At 0°C and your driving at say 30 mph in the snow, the effective temp is - 8°C on the jets.

Firstly use winter screen wash, or full stength stuff, it usually says on the bottle, and will not freeze till minus 10°C or better.

In the morning pour warm water on the jet, not boiling and keep it way from the windscreen. If you can get the insulation they use on micro bore gas pipe, you could try that to help keep those unprotected washer hoses lagged.
