93 wrangler no spark

I replaced the crank sensor 3 times in 3 years it's always started after that. I replaced the crank sensor and it still won't start. Now I'm getting a cam sensor code. I'm worried that if I replace the cam it won't start. Could it be a bad o2 sensor? These sensors are about $100.00 a pop. That's pretty expensive to me. I hate to replace it without knowing.

The o2 sensor will not prevent an engine from starting. The sensor is not active when the engine is cold (open loop) as well. If you get a CMP (cam position sensor) code I would start there. Also, check for spark and fuel.

I'm certain that there is an "official" test for this sensor. I generally quick check by attaching a volt meter set to millivolts to the sensor leads and check for a pulse voltage when cranking. If in doubt and you don't want to spend big$ on the part, you can get an entire distributor at a scrap yard likely for half of the price of the new sensor.

My 93 Dakota 3.9l started backfiring really bad and now it won't start. I've got no spark, no fuel delivery, but engine cranks. Coil is good. What can cause this? Cam position sensor?

I would put my money on crank position sensor. Should be in the top of the bell housing on the passenger side straight down behind the head. Always confirm before replacement, but is pretty common.

On my 1993 wrangler with a 2 5 if i try to start it it only fires on cylinder 1 and 3 if i shut it off and try again it fires only on 2 and 4 what would cause this

Sounds like a spark plug or distributor problem.... Change out all your spark plugs and check your wires for breaks. Check fuel injectors for build-up.

1999 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L cranks but will not start. No spark from coil. Replaced coil and crank sensor.

Check all your fuses, check power to your coil, I doubt the crank sensor was bad unless it threw an engine light at you. Ohm out your plug cables.

93 jeep wrangler,,turned it off and now want start,,got fire to plugs? help

If the check engine light does NOT come on when cranking, at the times when it won't start, and the relays are clicking and buzzing, then your ECU is in need of repair. The engine will only start after the check engine light comes on and the ecu is what controls that. ECU is likely going bad, causing the delayed start problem typical of early 90's jeeps. Reasonably priced repair or replacement services for your jeep ECU are available on ebay.

I have a 93 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 that cranks and doesn't wanna start. Fuel Pump is working and has good fuel pressure. Problem is coil loses power after the first start. I put in new distributor, new coil,...

Ok...you mentioned that there is no spark coming from the coil when it's in no start...Is there power from the alternator going to the coil?
One other item...If the timing chain is worn and stretched, it is possible that the cam sensor and crank sensor are out of phase with each other, just enough where a temperature difference will change starting ability.
One question...while in no start, have you tried changing the throttle position while cranking to see if it lights at part or 3/4 throttle?
