I have a 2001 convertible mustang and my dash light were my gas gauge is and my speedometer are that light is out and I was wondering how I go about replacing it? Is it a fuse or a bulb? And I need to replace the fuse for the convertible top.... So if anyone knows which fuses these are I would greatly appreciate your help.. Thank You.
It's called a CVR, constant voltage regulator, to keep all gauges with same voltage all the time, regardless of spikes. They seldom fail. I did not think we used one back in 66, but I did not start working for Ford until 1975. I would replace it and seee what happens. Let me know.
The float inside the fuel tank that measures how much fuel is in the tank needs to be replaced. The unit will register 8 OHMS if its any good off the wire leading from it when its at the full position
It is mounted on the passenger side, front fender about 2" inside of the finder edge and about 1" forward of the rear edge of the cowl vent. This photo gives you a good look.
