I have replaced the battery, alternator, voltage regulator and the horn relay. All wiring is good and fresh. I can use the car for one day and the next it is completely dead. Have to have battery charged then it works for one day and next day is dead. Cannot figure out what is wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks.
If you have a voltmeter, check battery voltage on the battery, car running. It should be over 13 volts, if under 13 volts, alternator is not charging the battery. Next put the voltmeter on the alternator-negative lead of voltmeter on negative battery, and positive lead of voltmeter on the B+ post of the alternator. If you now have over 13 volts, it is probably a bad fusible link between the alternator and the battery. Check that wire from B+ of alternator to the battery-there could be a bad fusible link in the wire.
If alternator is charging the battery, you may have an unintended drain when the car is off. To check for this, the battery should be well charged first. When you stop the car for the day, pull off the negative battery terminal, so no possibility of a drain. Next day, reconnect the negative to battery and see if battery is still charged. If it is, look for a light like a glove box light, trunk light, under hood light, or an amp maybe, that is not going off as it should.
Post back and let me know what you find.
Try using a volt meter after you shut it off and watch the meter and see if it drains, which would mean something is still drawing power when the car is off, then try removing fuses one at a time too possibly narrow down where the draw s coming from.if the battery is new then it should not have a bad cell which could cause it too drain.

you have something thats staying on with power when you shut the car off, first check all lights glove apartment, underhood,in trunk ,just because ther closed doesnt mean the light is off, check your car at night it might help to see the lights,if not another way is to take a multi meter to the battery and while some holds the meter pull out fuses in your fus box one at a time to see when the meter makes a change, this will help you to narrow down whats staying on and draining the power from the battery,if this helps please give me a fix ya vote

First, DON"T check your alternator that way anymore. It's not good to do on newer systems! The best, quickest check I can tell you is to put a volt meter across the battery. Running with accessories off you should see voltage of about 13.5 to 14.5.
With all accessories and headlamps on high turned on, it should not drop below 12.5. (and that is the absolute low end!).
It sounds like something in the car is staying on. check the glovebox light and interior light delay and make sure they are OK. Otherwise, you will have to start checking entire system for a draw that's taking out the battery overnight. To check, you can pull one fuse at a time and see if draw goes away, then check system that fuse serves.

If the engine is turning over and it still wont start try shooting a little starting fluid in the air cleaner to see if it will run .. if so your fuel pump is either bad or the fuel filter is getting dirty.. thanks and holler if you need more Jerry

check battery voltage when you turn off car. it should be 12.5 volts.if drops 11.0 volts the battery is got a weak cell in it.i bought a sears die hard battery it last 2 years the battery had a defect .it had a bad cell it short out the battery.check alternator wires for defects.
SOURCE: My car will not start,
I need you to clarify what happens when it won't start, does the engine crank over but not fire up or does if not crank at all, if the starter doesn't crank the engine over do u hear any kind of click from under the hood? this is very important, u may have burned solenoid contacts in the starter, this is the symptom, clicking but engine will not crank over,if this is the case replace the starter solenoid even if it tested ok, trust me have done dozens of these.
