Am sure this is a vacum leak just take the time and try to follow every vacum line under the hood sometimes they crack and dry rot, get a flash light to help see., hope this helps also most cars have a vacum diagram under the hood.

Wont move in reverse or drive 2001 saturn l300

Make sure the shifter cable is working. If good then check the transmission fluid level. If ok Then check if the drive axles are ok, If all ok then you have an internal transmission problem.

I have a 2000 Saturn SC2 with manual transmission and the 3rd door, I also have a 2001 Saturn SC2 manual transmission same specs on both will the parts from the 2000 model interchange with the 2001? I...

Most likely many of the parts will interchange, but since you don't mention specifically which parts you're concerned with, it's difficult to say. You might try entering the vehicle specifics in to one of the several online automotive parts websites. Then when you have parts that you are interested in interchanging, check to see if that part is the same part number for both vehicles on the parts store website.

check the wires see if one came off. Also check to see if you put them in the right order. If it turns over but wont fire at all check the coil wire. If it tries to turn over but misses kinda funny then check wire order.

I have a Saturn SL1 2002 (Automatic). Twice before in the last three weeks the car did not start. I put it in neutral and then managed to start it. Today, it simply will not start anymore. All lights...

your problem is the NSS neutral safety switch which saturn loves to call a transmission range sensor. if you remove your battery and air ducting you'll have access to the sensor which is top side mounted on your transmisson, it has 3 cable harnesses on it. is secured by 2 bolts only. you'll need a multimeter to make sure you have it set TDC top dead center. if it is TDC, when set the car to drive the sensor should read absolute 0 on the multimeter just remember the ebrake.

I have an SW2 Saturn. I need to remove the rear wiper arm and grease the shaft going through the rear window. How do I get the arm off?

good luck with that. dealers used to drill a small hole into the base of the wiper arm and drive a metal screw into it to drive the wiper arm up and off the wiper transmission output shaft. it is very well corroded on so you are going to be buying new.

myself i used to take a hack saw blade and carefully saw the top off of the base of the wiper arm, which would expose the whole end of the output shaft. then put a gear puller on and pop it off.

whatever you do, do not pry on the thing or you will break the rear window. make sure the little slider release clip is pulled out before you pull.

what happens is a plastic gear inside the transmission cracks in half when you turn the wiper on and it meets resistance like ice or rust. i had 4 saturn wagons and just bought a new wiper motor and arm whenever i began the project. put neverseize goop on it before you put it back together.
