As always , check fuses,.!!!!!
fix alarm. or skim.,. is horn active? honking?
open FSM and read that section
04 close?chapter 8Q-1
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service
The FSM does cover this.
as does alldata.com
read it.
or get help
there are only 2 ways
DIY
or get help.
the former takes books and meters. and tools and skills.
the lost (sure) operators guide in the glove box shows
how to see why alarm is active.
is this not really IMMO, immoblizer>? called SKIM
if skim is unhappy the car will not start for more that 2 seconds.
the 2 lamps SKIS or VTSS, what are they doing.?
the SYSTEM reports errors via the DTC memory
use any scan tool to see the errors.
DIY with no scan tool is impossible today. sorry. not.
eg: page 8q-5
skis lamp fashes means. wrong key, or corrupted key. (try spare fob)
same lamp solid , means SKIS is INOP.
this key is a transponder
never own ANY car like this with 1 key, or fail, or even get stranded.
the dash lamps are key (no pun) and so is the operators guide
get it and put it back in he glove box.
be safe.
