Humidity and spark are (not friends)
non pure water conducts electricity.
so if the wires are bad , it leaks and fails
no spark wire, ever lasts life of engine so
we replace them (if savvy) before they fail.
or at the TUNEUP.

ever get a tuneup this decade?
1989 to 1998
which year.?
which engine, 8valve or 16v.
the VIN on all trackers tells you what engine i there.
vin U = 8valve
vin 6 = 16valve. 16v for short....
the 16valve the valve cover is not black, and shouts 16 valves in huge letters cast in the cover.

my guess, bad spark wires, and plugs long gone.
or on 16v the spark plug wells are full of water or oil.
no Valve cover gaskets replaces at 60k miles service... caused?
if in usa, no canada, open hood look up
that EPA sticker tells you what engine is there.
or post your VIN.
post photo of engine.
the valve cover gasket is a 60k, mile service too. (at valve lash check its replaced)
this action prevents the spark wells from filling with oil... every time.

rotor bad (tuneup)
distributor cab bad (tuneup part)
sparks plugs bad...(tuneup again)

the stalling is from gross engine misfire.
    never tuned up.
if say the distributor cap is crazy old.
100k> miles, it can carbon track.
and if it does, it will 100% sure hate Rain and damp weather. as does the other parts for spark creation and distrubution.
if spark fails, the engine stalls.
it also wastes gas and overheats the cat converter..

You did not mention the year of your car so it is hard to answer. If it is old enough to still have a distributor then you may have moisture inside the cap. Pop it loose and spray with electrical contact cleaner or WD-40. Also look for cracks in the cap and/or damage to the seal at the bottom of the cap while you have it off. If you have any doubts about it replace it.

its a 89-98 Geo Tracker , later are Chevy Trackers to 2004. its a G16 engine.
    for sure.
never oil spark wires or caps. never.
we replace them, they fail in ways no human can see, or cure.
wd has oil in it.... so...

Stalls when rains

Depending on the year, it's likely bad wires or a bad distributor cap. You can recreate the problem when it's dry by filling a squirt bottle with salt water and spraying the wires with it while the truck is running. You'll either get a nice light show or it will start to stumble/stall.

Battery light on 2006 Kia Sportage

Check the voltage coming out of the alternator with engine running it should be 13.0-14.7 volts.Usally when the battery light comes on the voltage is to low or not charging. If voltage is below 13.0 volts or higher than 15 volts then the alternator is faulty and will need to be replaced.

Car stalls when at a stop. Has only happened at

Check the state of your engine's ignition system. Normally, rough running in the rain or during hours of high humidity indicates a worn/damaged ignition distributor or associated components.
