SOURCE: brake light on 2001 chevy blazer LT 2wd

When my blazer did this they had to replace part of the wiring harness in the steering wheel. It took forever for them to get the parts because we live in nowhereville, but once it was in it works again and no problems. I had to take it to the actual chevy dealer because none of the other places had a clue. good luck.

Unplug the turn signal relay from the fuse box and start you engine. Does it still make that noise?
If yes... Put the relay back in, that is not the problem.
If No...Then the relay could be bad, replace it!

PLEASE RATE THIS SOLUTION! Thank You Very Much!

SOURCE: Where is the turn signal relay on a chevy s10

On 95-97 and 1998, both the turn signal and hazard flashers are located behind the lower dashboard trim just to the left of the cigarette lighter. You can not get to it without taking apart the trim (stupid design). Or you have to drill a 2" diameter hole in the trim with a velcro cover so you would never have to do it again1999 and later it is under the glove compartment
to disassemble it without drilling
It's behind the panel to the left of the cigarrette lighter. You need a Torx 25 screwdriver and another screwdriver for those hex shaped screws, forgot the size. First unscrew the 2 Torx 25 screws beneath the steering wheel. Then unscrew the rest of those Hex screws on the bottom. The panels overlap, so be prepared for a lot of unscrewing. You do need to unscrew the middle black panel on the bottom, right beneath the cig lighter. It's held by two Hex shaped screws, one on each side and are hard to unscrew. Also you need to remove your spare change sliding tray to unscrew the last hex looking screw. Once you pop your panel off, the turn signal flasher is the right one. The Hazard flasher is the left one. You can find a replacement part at Autozone, and DON'T get the $184 Flasher switch, all you need is the signal flasher. It's shaped like a cylinder with TWO prongs on it.

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer. My turn signals click

Does it do it on both sides? If it is just on one side,a bulb could be the problem. When it does this, check the bulbs,by turning the signal on,and look at the front ,and the back,to see if one bulb is not burning.Replace it .One other problem ,check to see if the turn signal fuse is not blown, but melted in the fuse block. The battery voltage needs to be checked also.Check the charging system.it should be at about13.58 to 14.25.If the charging system is not at least 13.50 at idle, chatge battery at slow charge at 2 amps for 24 hours. If the voltage does not come up above 13.501 at idle, have the alternator replaced. The flashers, and the turn signals require a lot of amps.

I have a 2002 Chevy S-10. The right rear turn signal doesn't work. Neither does the brake light. The running light works. I replaced the bulb, and still, doesn't work. What could possibly be the problem?...

You probably have a burned or melted bulb socket connector where the bulb actually plugs into the socket and it is preventing the bulb from making contact with the socket connector. Look into the socket and see if you can see the connector recessed or plastic around the connector area higher than the connector. Scrape it away, if so, or carefully bend the connector away from the backing so it will contact the bulb when reinserted. If nothing else, replace the socket.

Turning signals not working

The way the system works is:
The fuse supplies 12 volts to the flasher unit then leaves the flasher and goes to the turn-signal switch in the steering column.
When you set the turn-signal switch to turn right or left, the switch sends that 12 volts to the front and rear bulbs. The voltage goes through the bulb, lighting the bulb and goes to ground.
If any of these components are not good than the lights will not work.
Check the fuse and make sure it is good, the fuse will be located under the hood at the fuse center.
Let me know if you have a test light and we can proceed from there.
Regards,
