Probably so. Check in this order: Blown fuse (95% chance of being your problem), loose wires, shorted out lighter receptacle.

Whats fuse number for cigarette lighter 1998 Lincoln towncar

The fuse you are looking for is in the fuse panel inside the vehicle to the left of the steering wheel down by the brake pedal. Below is a diagram of the fuse layout and I have marked the fuse you are wanting to check (number 23). Hope this helps....

Hi, my lincoln town car 96's ac only doesn't blow cool air, the freon is full, and the heater works fine, i wonder why is that. also the cigarrette lighter is not working, so basically if I try to conect...

It sounds like it will be a fuse, it is unlikely to be a coincidence that the cigarette lighter is not function as well. One fuse probably covers both these items, replace that fuse and they should both work once more.

Cigarette lighter on 2002 lincoln towncar not working

It is probably the accessory fuse.. Find the location in your manual and check it and replace it it.. If its not the fuse - its the actual lighter - the hand held part.. You can find a replacement at most auto part stores..

Have a great day !

Where is the fuse for the cigarette lighter for the 1998 Lincoln Town Car

In the fuse box under the dash on the left side of the steering column. I believe it a 30 Amp fuse but I forget the position number. It is also the fuse for the engine code reader plug.

Cigarette lighter not working

either the element is burned out on the lighter or you have a blown fuse, look in owners manual for location of the fuse and check it or replace
