After hot engine wont start and smells like gas

Most likely causes are bad engine coolant temp sensor OR leaking fuel injectors. Bad engine coolant temp sensor will give computer false reading and computer provides wrong air fuel mixture. Leaking fuel injectors will load the engine with raw gas--just like flooding it. Try pushing the gas pedal to the floor and holding it there when cranking when hot. That forces the computer into "clear flood" mode and it shuts off the injectors. If it starts up with pedal down, that would be a sign of leaking injectors.

1992 chevy truck wanting to run hot and then gets rough idling like it is going to die out have to give it gas

So you attack the overheating problem first before you blow an engine.

Thermostat, fan clutch, water pump, blockage in cooling system or low coolant level are some of the possibilities.
Is the gauge showing hot when it is overheating ?

I was drivingdown the inerstate whan i let off the gas my 97 sunfire died and wont start again while checking the fuel pump fuse and air filter i notice smoke coming from the air filter

Ther is no way anyone can diagnose this with what info you have given us, but I can guess, and it may not be good. It sounds like you may have lost a timing belt or other ignition component and the smoke is from gas that was left in the engine without burning it off.

I live in Las Vegas Nevada and it gets pretty hot Blazer dies out

I do not know what year your truck is but I would remove the ignition module from inside the distributer and remove the rotor so you would have access to the module. Take the module to oreillys and have them test it. Sometimes they make the car act like the car is running out of gas.

1998 Ram 2500 4WD starts and then dies repeatedly while driving. Could this be the fuel filter?

Yes - but there are two filters. One is in the fuel tank, the other in the fuel line. You should change both.

Aside from having a faulty fast idle valve, you may have a leaking intake manifold gasket.
