This vehicle sunroof can travel past its open point and gets stuck. you can lower the headliner and insert an hex key and crank the glass forward one inch then it will work again. Just don't let it go to far open or it can get stuck again. Also check the drain tray to make sure it is not out of place, if so you need new guides.

My sunroof will not open. It will vent up, but not retract back. Looking at it from the top, you can see how the front drivers side isnt all the way forward, so the back corner isnt in all the way.

It is faulty obviously and these are quite expensive to fix. I suggest you close it up by hand if the motor won't shut it and then keep it closed.

My sunroof won't close

Some sunroofs have a open switch like the drivers window. You push it and the window will open automaticly. The button on your sunroof could be jammed so even though you can close it as soon as you release it, it will auto open on it's own.

Sunroof on 1998 chevy cavalier z24 won't close all the way

It can be faulty motor or loose wiring issue or faulty /weak sunroof controlling switch or there is some blockage for sunroof to come down to close or sunroof out of its track the headliner is out of its way. There re many possibilities. All this basics needs to be checked. For further troubleshooting,go through this help link:----

Sunroof stuck all the way open..

You may have something binding or stuck. Sometimes the track will get out of place or jammed and this can break a piece of plastic off and cause problems. Perhaps the motor has failed.

You will not be able to move it manually, unless you can access the moonroof motor, by lowering the headliner. Using a 5/32" allenwrench, you should be able to close the sunroof manually, but if you force it may do more damage. If the motor is inop, this may work for you.

Sunroof on a 2003 ford expedition won't close

I have just repaired a similar problem on a 2003 F150 crewcab sunroof. It opened and would not close. Pressing the switch to open made a click(no bad fuse or breaker.) Pressing it to close made no noise. I checked the switch with a VOM, it was fine. I used jumper wires to reverse polarity on the motor leads (purple and blue) between plug from express open module (black box) and motor connector (excluding limit switch.) I was hoping just to close the roof until Monday. Pressing the switch made the roof closed perfectly both ways (no problem with regulator or motor.) I focused on the limit switch in side the gearcase on the motor. The grease was melted and had swamped the switch with oil. I cleaned the limit switch with electronic cleaner and reassembled the gearcase, paying close attention to the alignment of the sequencing cams (there's a window to check the marks.) With everything hooked up and the headliner back in place it seems to work perfect.
Thanks B
