SOURCE: I have a 1999 dodge

could be crank sensor or possibly the auto shutdown relay. use a test light to check for voltage at the coil. Hook the test light clip to ground and back probe the dark green/orange stripe wire at the coil connector. With the key on, the light should light. If not, swap the relay with another similar one--say the horn relay and try again. If still no voltage, interrogate the relay socket per instructions here: http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check .
If there is power at the dark green wire, check the connector on the crankshaft sensor. I have pasted your wiring diagram as well as instructions for checking and replacing the cranks sensor below. Please let me know if you have questions.

Crankshaft Position Sensor TESTING On the 2.5L engine, the Crankshaft Position (CMK) sensor is located near the outer edge of the flywheel (or starter ring gear). On other models it is fitted to the right side of the engine block.
The only test you can perform without a DRBII scan tool, or equivalent, is a basic check of the sensor only.

  1. Disconnect the sensor harness connector from the main wire harness connector.
  2. Place an ohmmeter across terminals 1 and 2 (see the illustration). The meter reading should be open (infinite resistance). If a low resistance is read, replace the camshaft position sensor.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

All Except V-10 Engine

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly if necessary for access to the sensor.
  2. Disconnect the pigtail harness from the sensor.
  3. Remove the nut holding the sensor wire clip to the fuel rail mounting stud.
  4. Remove the sensor mounting hardware, then the sensor.
  5. Remove the clip from the sensor wire harness.

To install:
  1. Install the sensor flush against the opening.
  2. Install and tighten the bolts or nuts, as applicable.
  3. Install the electrical connector.
  4. Install the clip on the sensor wire harness.
  5. Install the clip over the fuel rail mounting stud. Install the clip mounting nut.

I have no plug wire spark 1997 dodge average 2.5 v6 24 value.have already replaced crankshaft positioning sensor on it and still no spark to the wires

Sounds like a bad distributor. Had you pulled a spark plug out you may have found them wet with gas after cranking. If they are wet the crank sensor is working since both injector pulse and coil pulse rely on crank signal.

The distributors are known week points in the ignition system and used to be common when theses cars where still on the road. A reman will run you $250 U.S.

I have 2002 Durango with 360CID engine. #8 cylinder is not firing.

Could be lack of compression, or too much fuel from the injector.

Won't Start

Pull a spark plug wire and check for spark. Just take a spare, working spark plug and put it on a plug wire (or take a plug out of your engine), and ground the plug hex or the plug threads on a metal piece of the engine. Now the plug is grounded, so you won't get shocked when checking for spark. But just in case, wrap a heavy rag around the wire, or use a glove to hold it, and watch the spark jump the electrode while someone is cranking the engine. A good ignition system will have a blue, snapping spark. If you have no spark, check a second wire, and still nothing, then the ignition system needs checked-the coils, ignition module, and crank position sensor, and so on. An orange or yellowish spark is also a sign of ignition problems.
If you do have spark when checking, then check if fuel is reaching the engine-the schraeder valve on the fuel rail is the test port for a fuel pressure gauge. Really what you need is to check fuel pressure, but if you punch the center pin on the valve, and gas squirts out, then you know gas is up to the injectors and under some pressure.

Suzuki Aerio won't turn over

If it cranks it turns over just to clarify.
The plugs may be fuel fouled and not sparking inside the cylinders. Its possible one of the injectors is shorted to ground and making all of the injectors stay open.
I would pull the plugs and see if they are wet or dry, if wet unplug the pump relay and try another set of plugs to dry out the cylinders.
If you can get it started, try putting the pump relay back in.

I have 85 rx7 12a engine carb getting spark and fuel,it will turn but it won't start what could it be.

It takes 3 things for a car to run... spark, fuel, and air. Sounds like you should be looking for a problem with the air, IF it is getting spark and fuel. Food for thought.

98 durango is turning over but won,t start, could it be pump or injector. i can hear the pump

On the fuel rail you will see a shrader valve, press that while someone cranks the engine to see if there is fuel pressure, check if there is spark at the spark plugs. You need fuel and spark to start. Let me know.

2001 ford taurus with the 3.0 after sitting a few hours when i go to start will crank and crank and crank for what seems like ever, will start easily after that but when i go to start it for the first time...

Its not the oil, increasing temperature will thin out the oil. If it cranks easily but won't start it could be the spark plugs or the spark plug wires. When they heat up, especially if they are old, they won't perform well. Pull off one of the wires and hold it close to the plug, try to crank the engine and look for a spark. If it sparks them try removing a plug and check to see if it looks wet. If its bone dry it might not be getting fuel.

2005 nissan frontier wont start i have fuel and spark. engine cranks over but no start

Take one of the spark plugs out and let us know what it looks like. Dry and light grayish tan means you have spark but fuel supply problems. Wet spark plug that smells like gas means it is more of a spark issue.

Good Luck

My 99 f350 v10 wont start. starts fine for a couple of days then out of the blue it just wont start. replaced filter, throttle control nothing any help

You have replace filter-assuming air filter?
Throttle control? Are you checking to make sure you have Fuel spraying after you crank the engine?
1- Let's check this. AFter cranking for a while.
2- remove spark plugs see if it wet.
3- it if is, you have fuel Go to # 5
4- It if is not, then you don't have Fuel. Need to fix this.
5- Plug the spark plug as it supposely connected, but not screwing in. Hold it against the chasis and crank it up to see if it sparks. Need a helper.
6-If there is no spark. Need to fix this.
7- If your spark plug is wet and there is also spark, report back then I will provide next diagnoses. Good luck.
