Question about Honda Cars & Trucks
My Honda Civic 2000 when I am in traffic swithes on MIL. Scan indicated error code P1361. Sometimes the accelerator does not respond and if I press it further when it is not responding MIL switches on and car stops and I have to start again. The person who did the test gave me the result of the test and told me that a sensor should be changed. The problem is that I lost the result of the test (I remember the error code because I was doing a lot of search in internet) and because of that I can not go to the technician who tested the car. So I checked the service manual and found "TDC" sensor. I asked Honda for an invoice for TDC sensor and they gave me an invoice for "Sensor assy., TDC CYlinder". my question is: is TDC sensor the same as "sensor assy., TDC cylinder"? Other question is: does replacing the sensor solve the problem. or the problem can have another cause. Thank you very much. Cremildo

The sensor is located on the left hand rear side of the block (near the bell housing). It is held in place by a 10mm bolt. It's to the right of the exhaust manifold (LH - radiator side) on the V6. Once you purchase the new sensor you'll be able to identify it on the engine. The connector to this sensor is located in the illustration.
A word to the wise... replace the O2 snsr as well.

well i would replace the o2 sensor and find out why you got a cylinder 3 misfire,most likely plugs and wires will do the trick

Check out the Top Dead Center (TDC) sensor, connector 124 (gray and on the distributor) check power and grounds. It's missing signal from the TDC sensor in the distributor and causing a misfire.
The codes states that it's an intermittent loss of sensor signal, definitely sounds like wiring. Check for the obvious visual stuff first, corrosion, any cuts or holes in the wiring insulation and then start using a multimeter to check the voltage drop, continuity and resistance for all the connectors and wiring.
I suspect this may be too technical, but you asked about how to fix the problem and this is the answer.
It may be time to take the car to a qualified mechanic.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am having the same issue on 2,4,6. I have replaced the coils. checked the intake for vacuum leaks. I am lost here let me know if you find anything and I will do the same.
