SOURCE: Check VSC System message and

there have been several complaints of these lights coming on together. you always have the option to bring the vehicle into the dealer but before you do that i would disconnect the battery from under the hood for 10-15 minutes and while disconnected press the brake pedal 30-35 times to drain any power remaining in electrical system and then reconnect the battery. there are numerous accounts of this reseting the computer, erasing any codes and returning drivability. if this does not work than yoou will have to go to the dealership. god luck and hope this helps.

Pulled orange off hybrid battery system in trunk to have a look then put it back. Now I get a ECB fault & Check Hybrid System alarm on the dash and it won't start. I only looked at it.

That orange cover on the connection has a lever on it that needs to be pushed up. Once this is done the car should start. Then you need to turn it off, then on and off three times to get the check hybrid warning to go away.

Check hybrid system warning light on. Toyota highlander hybrid 06. What do I do?

The computer monitor the system and recognized a problem. After so many years and miles the battery may go bad and computer send a massage. Or something ales is bad. Hard to guess w/o scanning for code. stop buy to dealer or mechanic wit good scanner and read the code.

2002 toyota prius warning light - car with exclamation mark

The light that looks like a car with an exclamation mark in the middle of it is the HYBRID WARNING light (see diagram below) You must scn the onboard computer network to determine why this light is coming on. You also need to scan your computer system to find out why the engine keeps dying. If the hybrid batteries are discharged, they must be properly recharged to prevent serious damage.

CAUTION: Read ALL service and warning lables in the engine compartment before attempting ANY type of service on a hybrid vehicle. The wiring harnesses that have ORANGE connectors are HIGH VOLTAGE connectors and can cause serious injury or death.

DO NOT touch any wiring harness or component that has a HIGH VOLTAGE warning label on it.

My recommendation is to tow the vehicle to a qualified hybrid repair center (preferably the dealer) and get it properly diagnosed and repaired. The high-tech, high voltage systems in this vehicle is nothing for anyone but a trained, certified technician to be messing with.

Have a warning light on the dash of my Toyota Estima Hybrid 2002. It's a red car with an exclamation mark in it. Flashes every now and then, then the engine switches off. Do you know what's ca

There are quite a few things that can cause this light to turn on and yes you are right it has something to do with the hybrid system, unfortunately this going to require that a suitable diagnostic scantool be connected that can communicate with all the onboard computers, this will retrieve any diagnostic codes that are stored, a technician can then start to diagnose the system based on the trouble code information.
