Question about 1998 Toyota 4Runner
Out of the blue, all of the buttons ceased to work at once, meaning all doors have to be manually locked and unlocked. I can still lock and unlock the car by inserting the key into the door.
Good Starting place .You Should check all the fuses To see if there If they are in good condition and not blown
Next place,. I would look Would be the wiring from the A post into the door For broken or damaged wires.ps Don't forget there will be more than one live going the door

You need to replace the electric door lock solenoid.The electrical part of the solenoid may be compromised and is not letting the solenoid arm retract or extend to lock/unlock your door.

probably gonna have to take the door panel off. You say it wont unlock or lock with the key? if thats the case its probably broke inside the door.
