Why ask, please do tell?
adding a dash gauge, or what? got errors?
which one, ? on some engines there are 2 and 3.
VVT, can have 2, and enigine main gallery 1.
why not post the context of all this, so we can get on same page>?
how ? (unscrew it)
when posting post what engine you have. if not below size.
most cars have 2 to 10 options world wide.
and i cant guess that, not ever. nor your country.
2.0 L 3S-FE I4 (petrol)
2.0 L 3S-GE I4 (petrol

Ours (USA) has the 3S engine.
VVT-i, or Variable Valve Timing with intelligence,

so are you getting VVT errors?, if yes, why skip that fact?
most VVT have solenoids and sensors. On v6 two times this.
scan it and report the errors, so we can see why you ask.
if VVT issues, i strongly recommend a real FSM.
if in uSA alldata.com is ok
if not , a real FSM for your car, matched.

Where is oil sending unit located?

You're vehicle has two sensors for the oil,an oil pressure sensor switch & oil pressure sensor. If oil pressure gets below 6psi,the oil pressure sensor switch will turn a dash light on to let you know the pressure is at a dangerously low amount. So if you've got a dash light on,the pressure sensor switch needs to be replaced. Its located to the right of the oil filter housing,on a 2.0 liter. Its located to the left of the oil filter housing,on the 3.0 liter.
If your oil pressure gauge is reading inaccurately, you need to replace the oil pressure sensor instead. Its located near the ac compressor.

How do I change the oil pressure sensor on 2007 Avalance

On both the V6 and V8 engines the Oil Sensor is located on top of the engine at the rear. You will need to remove the top of the intake manifold to get to it.

you will have several sending units.
1. Oil pressure sending unit, which according to peoples site that I have visited is right above the oil filter.
2.sending unit in gas tank going to gauges, which is in the gas tank.
3. temperature sending unit, which is located near the thermostat housing or near the end of the upper radiator hose.

Oil sending unit on 2004 chrysler sebring V6

Should be located close to the oil filter. It will screw in like a spark plug. It has a harness plug. Easy to change, save yourself $70 in labor. You will need a fairly large wrench to remove

Need to replace oil pressure sensor/or sending unit(getting low oil pressure idiot light when idleing in drive) 1997 dodge neon dhc 2.0L. I have a new one but cant seem to find where it is located on the...

In my experience with neon's the sending unit is most likely not the problem. I feel that you will find that the oil pressure is actually low and that the oil pump is going out. If you change the sending unit and it doesn't change then you will know for sure. The sending unit is located on the side of the block near the oil filter. It has one wire and simply unscrews and the new one screws back in and re-attach the wire. Hope this helps. Good luck.

2003 GMC Sierra Knock sensor and oil pressure??

the knock sensors are located below the intake plenum,or,upper intake manifold as some call it, they screw into the lower intake, the front one is sensor 1, the rear is sensor 2. it is wise to change both if you have some miles.since you are going to be buying a gasket set to do this job.the sensors are cheaper than the gaskets.

Guages on 87 olds cutlass are not working properly. fuel does not work, temperature works but goes strainght to hot as soon as the car warms up, amp gueage discharging oil pressure not working

Hi, you will have to replace all sending units for these gauges in order to restore them to there original state. i will list the sending units and there respective locations below.

1. Fuel gauge sending unit- you will need to replace the fuel sending unit on your Olds. its located inside the actual fuel tank. there's a floater attached to this Assembly and , its broken. you will have to replace the entire assembly. you will also have to drop the fuel tank to access it as well.

2. Temp guage-- normally when this guage starts to malfunction, its because of a bad coolant temperature sensor. Inspect the sensor's wires and connections. ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor problems are often caused by faulty wiring or loose or corroded connections rather than the failure of the sensor itself. If the wires or connections are bad, replace them. If you think the sensor is defective, it should be tested.

This sensor is located Under hood, center, upper engine area, front of carburetor, passenger side of water outlet, mounted in intake manifold.

3. Amp gauge --- OK, this can be caused by a bad voltage regulator. i would also trace every single wire from the amp gauge to the sensor and regulator. check for corroded connectors and contact clips. replace any wire that may seem worn.

4. Oil pressure gauge-- This gauge will malfunction if the Oil pressure switch is faulty or not working. This is an Information relay unit for the indicator light or gauge on instrument panel. It contains a diaphragm that responds to changes in oil pressure. When the oil level is over a pre-set limit, the diaphragm opens the switch, turning off the light. When level is below the pre-set limit, the dash light comes on. In later model cars, if the oil pressure drops, the switch turns off the fuel pump, to stop the engine and limit damage to internal parts. Oil pressure switches can be grouped into two categories, units for electrical gauges and for mechanical gauges. If this switch is defective, it will have to be replaced. Once replaced, it will fix the dead oil gauge.

This device is located Under the hood, passenger side, front engine area, mounted rear of water pump. If the wires are worn or there is an oil leak near the switch location, replace it.

Inspecting all the above areas and replacing parts if needed, will fix your gauge issues.

Please rate and god bless:)

Oil light

low oil pressure, you might have an oil sending unit going bad, but it might also be the oil pressure sensor. i would replace the sensor first. its cheaper and way easier, if the problem still happens then its the sending unit (aka oil pump) and that is located in the oil pan

Check oil light on 96 cavalier 2.2L

2.2l cavalier engines have an oil level sensor on the front side of the pan just below the starter. make sure it plugged in before checking anything else. if you're going to change a sensor because of "low oil' light, that would be the one.
