Question about 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass
Check the engine mounts are good and not torn off the mount plate.. Remove each plug lead in turn and if the noise goes then it will be either piston slap or big end bearing. Have a pressure test done on the box to check for internal damage and change the transmission oil and filter and have the bands and clutch pack adjustment checked.
