While I was driving, my rear driver's side window just fell down. It did not break. It can be pulled up but will not stay up? It feels like it is still "seated" inside.

What caused this and how do I fix it?

SOURCE: Seat belt repair

first for the switch in window
the window switch is easy to test you just gotta remove switch out of the door leaving it hang there is a way to test with a guaged wire with fuse on it
take the main power wire and touch to the other connectors on the main switch if the window goes down or up the switch is the problem
im suggesting this way first with fuse cause its easier then testing the windows motor inside the door frame the switches should just pop out of the panel with out haveing to take panel off

now the seat belts there are 2 style that are common to chevy
one is inside the molding of the drivers panel you gotta pop off the panels easily and gently to get at the seat belt retractor this will be bolted to the metal under the molding

the other style is in the seat which you gotta unbolt the seat under the top half it will need to be unbolted at the bottom top half of seat
when you pull threw the top section of top half of seat remember to tie a string to the end so that when you pull threw top half the string will be there so you can connect too new belt and pull back threw with ease make the string long enough to hang

now the bottom half of seat what i call the "**** seat" you remove the molding at bottom around the belt retractor this will be bolted to floor bolt also pull belt threw molding once molding removed
disconnect any electric wires

now saftey issue involved with seat belt removal is for a reason i dont know of the dealer ship always discharges the belts and air bags once removed i guess because of static electricity becareful when you remove belt and replacing belts cause static elec. can set them off
once your seat belt is removed place in card board box and take to dealer after complition of installing new belt they will discharge your seat belt for you and then you can dispose of it properly

SOURCE: driver's door keyhole fell inside door

The only way to get the lock back is to take the door panel off the inside. There is a C-ring or E-ring that goes around the lock cylinder to hold it in the hole. Did some one punch it in to get the door open? There may be damage done. The lock cylinder may keep falling in if the hole is now to big. The lock cylinder goes in from the outside and the clip holds it from falling out of the door. It does not fall into the door very easily. If you take it to an auto glass place they can get the door panel off and on for you for a fair price. You do need a special tool to get the panel off without breaking the clips. You can rip it off and break the clips and purchase new ones from the dealer, an auto parts store or a window specialist. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions post them here I will check back again later.

SOURCE: 03 chevy tahoe

There are seperate blowers for the front and rear air. It is most likely either your blower motor or the resistor, both located under the passenger side dash. I got a blower from a salvage yard for $25, But ended up having to get the resister from the dealership for about $130. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: drivers side window switch not working on 2005

the drivers door switch is most likely bad, they get used the most and wear out first, the connector on the back of switch may have come loose and not making good electrical contact, remove switch and check connector and if still not working need new switch, the windows are all on same circuit and either all work or none work so not fuse. extremely rare is a short in wired but not likely.

2004 jeep liberty, window drive broken, fell down, now rear door is locked and cannot open inside or out

If your careful you can get the door panel out of the window trim at top with out breaking it. Hooter day is best to do it as the plastic panel is more pliable. Once out wedge it back some and pull the trim out. This will give you a good inch plus gap to work threw. Most like the cable has wrapped around it. Flash light to see it and bent coat hanger, long screw driver or bar. You should be able to get it open.

Cannot get the rear window to stay up . the drivers side rear window slides down as I drive.

Either the window fell off the track or the motor is faulty. You will most likely have to remove the screws and then pry off the door panel to access the window, frame, and motor

How do fix drver side rear sliding door window

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll see the innards of the door

2001 Saab 95 se driver/passenger windows.

A car I owned the left rear window did that. I could pull it up by taking a hold of it while another person held the switch. They told me the problem was the track was made out of plastic and it had broken. They had to replace the track. Yes it was expensive to repair but is ok now.

Driver side door window slowly fell down into the door of my 1997 dodge dakota. The glass did not break.

Power or crank? Either case the rails that hold the window on probably broke. there are slides inside the door that keep the window in place, if a slide broke, or if one of the brackets broke, the window will come down. I cant really recomend doing this yourself as ive had the same issue on other vehicles and pulling apart the door and messing with the slides and stuff in there is a real pain. Hopefully it only fell off the track and you can put it back in place. If not, if your not very handly i would suggest taking to someone.

REMOVING A DOOR PANEL

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
