Question about 2006 Toyota RAV4 Sport
My entire instrument cluster on my rav4 including all warning lights stay on when i shut my car off and remove the key. Ive tried completely detaching both battery cables and other remedies but none have worked.
The best way to reset the CPU program is to use a code reader . Any thing else generally only fixes a bit of the program

SOURCE: rav4 gear problem
You need a new 5th gear- luckily this is easy to replace- I did it myself following online directions for 5th gear replacement. The 5th gear is not in the box with the other gears- its off to the side so you can access it very easily by removing the left front wheel. Just don't let the idler assembly come apart, lots of tiny parts and springs...
The 5th gear can ware out prematurely if you rest your hand on the shifter- do not rest your hand on the shifter in the future.

you dont need to worry, use the key as normal (put in lock to open door)it will still start the car, just split the remote with your hands and the battery is inside it,you can get one at the newsagent,or supermarket easy job

I am having a multiple cylinder misfire on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 with the 3.5L V6. Every cylinder is reporting a mifire. Each cylinder has it's own coil. I highly doubt that all 6 coils went bad at once. Does anyone have any idea what my be causing this?? Is that the problem you two are having?

There is transmission filter cartridge that you should replace whenever you change the fluid. Located in your transmission.
Hope that helps you out!
