Suzuki 2008 model 400 atv wont engage in drive but will in reverse?

no transmission.
get the shop manual and read?
the trans has clutch pack for engine then a drive belt.
it is CVT drive, (the pulley magic box)
id check cables first for shifting not too much slack.
the CVT can not go in reverse. so the reverse /forward is downstream from the CVT.
and not wheel bearings, it is this shift box, issue. or just a bad cable, to it etc. are you really owning this> (400 only seems wrong)
2008 Suzuki LT-Z400 . eiger 400, or

if the clutch fails and drags it will not want to shift easy
or the cable is bad, or not adusted, right it can not shift right
look for simple things first
like this, if it does not go forward make sure FIRST the cable even goes to forward mode. (at the end of the cable)

WHERE does the antifreeze go in Suzuki eiger 400 4x4 05 go? I don't see an radiator cap or anything

there will be an expansion tank that hold/refill the coolant , look for plastic tank could be round , square beside rad , with coolant hoses to it , make sure engine cold when removing cap, will need to drain old coolant before refilling with new , worth checking the coolant strenght before draining as may still be ok

Why is my 1999 Chevy Tahoe backfiring?

Hi Dion:
When under acceleration, an engine experiences increased cylinder pressures. If you have a spark plug(s) that is in poor condition, it can misfire (or not fire) then, so the unburned fuel will ignite in the exhaust, and "backfire".

Another possible cause could be that the timing is not retarding when the vacuum drops under acceleration.

My recommendation?

Having a backfire issue in exhaust during acceleration and release of throttle. I have cleaned carb, replaced intake manifold boot and gasket, relaced air filter and cleaned airbox. not sure if I have a...

Not sure what vehicle you are talking about, but backfiring is caused by gas not being fully combusted by the engine and passing into the exhaust system and igniting. So, when you step on the gas pedal, you are probably flooding the engine - I suggest you have another close look at your carburetor. There are also other less common reasons for incomplete combustion (e.g. timing, poor ignition, etc.).

Why would suzuki forenza stall at a stop

Turn the ignition and start the Suzuki Eiger. If the engine has difficulty starting or will not start at all, there may be a problem in the electrical or starting system. Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug and remove the spark plug from the engine using a spark plug wrench. You can replace the spark plug or use a wire brush and gap tool to clean and re-gap the spark plug. Insert and tighten the spark plug, reattach the spark plug wire and try to restart the engine. Remove the battery cables from the battery and attach a battery meter to the battery. Observe the amount of charge the battery is holding and if the meter has a test feature, test the battery to see if it will dispense the correct amount of power. Clean the battery contacts with a wire brush and reconnect the battery cables. Check the oil, gas, transmission and brake fluid levels on the Suzuki Eiger. If there is not enough gas in the ATV, it will not start. Checking the fluids regularly to see if there are any leaks or if any of the fluids are dangerously low. Top up any fluids that may be low before you use the ATV. Adjust the fuel idle mixture screw on the Suzuki Eiger's carburetor if the engine is running rough. Inspect the air intake and exhaust pipe for the Suzuki Eiger. Any blockage in or on these components can affect engine performance. OBD2 PROMOTION FindOBD2 com
