    when i select the 4h in the cab there is clicking from under the front end . when i turn to 2h it stops

Sounds like you have a bad axle joint. Does it get worse on a turn. Can you hear it better in a turn. Bad joint will grind, growl , click, clank and eventually if left go without repair break and fall off the car with lots of collateral damage.

Sounds like the front axle electric actuator is bad. these are mounted on the front differential housing. they are known to go bad.

Your blazer is equipped with a shift on the fly four wheel drive. That means that at speeds less than fifteen miles per hour you can shift into or out of four wheel drive by simply pushing the four wheel high button. If you wish to shift into four wheel low. Stop, put the transmission into park or neutral, and push the four wheel low button. Same procedure for shifting back out. Never shift into or out of four wheel low while moving. And be careful in four wheel low. At full throttle your still barely moving, you don't want to blow your engine up!

SOURCE: Can't engage 4X4 wheel drive or disengaging

Replace evry vacuum line that has any thing to do with the 4 wheel drive. Worked 4 me

steering pump or belt. make sure steering reservoir has correct amount of fluid and is not black. if its black you might try sucking whats in reservoir out with a turkey baster or syringe and refilling with fresh fluid.
