A sparkplug wire may have been loosesed or disconnected or damaged.
If you can't find it then wait until late evening when it's dark.

Open hood and start the car. You will see the sparks from the damaged/loose sparkplug cable. Don't touch it while ignition is ON. It will shock you!

If you "disconnected" any sparkplug wires when you replaced the oil pump, then they were not put back in the proper firing order.

Hope this helps!

I hav omni 1989 model my question is the fan is not working but the motor is gud when put a wire and direct to baterry its working "i try to find the fuse but i cant find it where the fuse place?

You should start by checking to see if the fuse is blown. If it is still good then check the temperature sensor or relay switch. Also check for any splits or cracks on the wires and harnesses.

Hey my omni wont start at the moment. we replaced the distributor cap and rotor and its not the map sensor what else could the problem be please help

If the car has current in the plugs and gas coming to the cylinders then it damn well start. Is the car being cranked? if yes, the battery is fine. Check the current in the plugs. The spark should be blue. The fuel pump working?

Car hard to crank and stalling

Hi

Expensive part to fit, as a guess.!

Have an exhaust gas tested first, this will confirm that the cat converter is shot or not !

Sounds more like a sensor problem to me .

Good Luck !

A FixYa rating would be nice Please !

Fuel gauge doesn't work on a 1989 dodge omni

Hi

Sounds like he forgot to reconnect the wires ?

Check this first, if they are OK, bridge them, and the fuel gage should read full.
If this is so, you can get a new tank unit.

Expect he has left the wires off !

Good Luck !

a FixYa rating would be appreciated Please !

1990 Dodge Omni. Runs but shuts down

Check to see that you have good(bright orange) spark to the spark plugs the next time it dies... if not odds are its the coil. If spark is good check fuel pressure, since the pump was replaced if pressure is bad the fuel pressure regulator would be in question.
