Question about 2002 Nissan Xterra
When accelerating the car hardly moves and then will suddenly move forward normally
I had the same problem so I dismantled my engine and found out both my heads were cracked allowing fluid to enter the combustion chamber therefore foreign fluids were gumming up my pistons causing me to lose power up hills and so forth. If you are a good mechanic replace your heads and your problem will be solved.

SOURCE: Car won't move
It would appear that your CV joints are worn out completely, and you are going to have to replace them, or the whole half-shaft. When you hear those funny noises, that is your car talking to you... the only way it can, and you have to fix those noises ASAP.

SOURCE: I have a 2008 Nissan Sentra. A couple months ago I notice there was a hesitation when I stepped on the accelerator as the car paused beforemit moved. The car also sounds like it's working way too
sounds like it could possibly be a transmission problem with the whole stalling out problem an the price range could vary if its bad but i would check the fluid an make sure its not bone dry becuase that could be an issue or it could have a leak causing it to run dry quick an shred the gears an could be the cause of the stlling an the loud sound from the reasr could easily be your brakes, transmission could vary from $50-$5000

make sure your air filter is clean and get some carb spray or throttle body spray and spray the valves and clean all the gunk off and hope that ur intake passages are not starting to clog up
